— About Dwat Mahadev
A rarefied corner of the Chamba Himalayas — ancient temples, heirloom orchards and a single model hamlet of Gaddi families, opened slowly to a handful of discerning travellers. Discreet luxury, measured in silence, scale and the quality of the company you keep.
Borkha — a tightly knit hamlet of seven or eight families on the orchard and forest edge — is the model village for Mystic Villages: Dwat Mahadev. The reserve forest above lends rare ecological depth; the Pir Panjal rises on one side, the Dhauladhar on the other, and Chamera Lake glints in the distance.
